Kareena Kapoor was born in Mumbai in the well known Kapoor Family of the film industry. She belongs to a Punjabi family. She is the youngest girl of Babita and Randhir Kapoor. Kareena is the great grand-daughter of prithviraj Kapoor and grand-daughter of Raj Kapoor. Kareena has got her roots in the Film industry. The well known and reputed actress, Karishma is her sister. Both the sisters are amazing actors and best friends. Kareena is the niece of the ace actor, Rishi kapoor.
Kareena Kapoor’s history entirely starts from the film back ground. She is given a nickname of Bebo. As the children, both the sisters dreamt of becoming actresses in Bollywood after getting inspired by the top actresses like Meena Kumari and Nargis. Kareena’s past life was not very comfortable as many people would think. Her father was not ready to let his daughters get into the film industry. Kareena Kapoor attended the school in Mumbai, Jamnabai Narsee School and then later moved to Dehradun, in Welham Girls Boarding School. She opted for commerce for the 2 years at Mithibai College, Mumbai. Kareena never liked her term but continued with her studies just because she loved her family a lot. Later, she registered for the 3 months course at Harvard University for micro computers in the US. Later, she developed a keen interest in law and got enrolled at Government Law College. After the completion of one year, she got back to her previous plan in order to become an actress and started her training at Acting Institute of Kishore Namit Kapoor.
Initially, Kareena Kapoor signed a movie against Hrithik Roshan named Kaho Naa..Pyaar Hai but later opted out. This movie came out to be a super hit. Then she signed her debutant movie, Refugee opposite Abhishek Bachchan which although did not work much but brought her an Award of Best Female Debut Actress.

Kareena kapoor is one of the leading actresses of Bollywood and is the screen idol. Kareena Kapoor’s grandfather is the famous Raj Kapoor and her great grandfather is Prithviraj Kapoor. Shammi Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor are her uncles and Sadhna is her maternal aunt.
Karrena Kapoor did her primary schooling from Jamnabhai Narsee School and later shifted to Welham’s Girls Boarding school. To study Microcomputers and Information Technology she was in Harvard for a small time. She also studied law from Government Law College for a year. Later she enrolled in Kishore Namit Acting School.
Kareena made her first entry to the silver screen with the movie “Refugee”, pairing opposite to Abhishek Bachchan, in the year 2000. She played the role of Bangladeshi girl named, “Naaz,” who falls in love with a refugee, played by Abhishek Bachchan. This was a three-and-a-half hour epic. Due to her brilliance in portraying any kind of roles, she was soon flooded with offers. Her projects include Yuva, Asoka, Omkara, Bewafaa, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Jab We Met and many other movies.
Kareena Kapoor started dating Shahid Kapoor since 2004 and the news of their relationship was always reported by the media. Also, this pair confirmed about their relation. But they broke up in 2007 when they gave their first blockbuster together with the movie “Jab We Met.” Soon her relationship with Saif Ali Khan was reported by the Media.
Kareena Kapoor is involved in many humanitarian causes. She joined NDTV in 2005 by visiting jawans in Rajasthan. The prize money that she won from Kaun Banega Crorepathi was denoted to Mount Mary’s Bandra and St.Anthony’s Old Age Home. Again, the money that she won from “Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hai” was denoted to St.Anthony’s Old Age Home.
